Magstim/Welcony supported one of their Welsh manufacturing engineers to enrol onto the fully funded Cardiff University Engineering Degree Apprenticeship programme in 2021 and five years on he has recently graduated with a BEng Degree in Integrated Engineering. Byron was introduced to the programme by Industry Learning Solutions (ILS Wales) and supported throughout his studies by partners Gower College Swansea and Cardiff University. His employers have been delighted with the programme. Byron is delighted he has no student loans to pay off now he has graduated, and also has 5 years’ experience to add to his CV alongside his BEng.
